Strong tempo assured from Fully Lit and Magnatear leading the charge. Reigning NZ Derby winner WILLYDOIT (6) is going down a different path this prep under new trainer Ciaron Maher. Shuffled back to next to last in a big field in the 1400m Tramway first-up before making solid late inroads. Nicely weighted for a Group One winner and the Randwick mile looks perfect second-up. PERICLES (2) may have gone to a new level this prep under Bjorn Baker. Did some work early then let down nicely to easily win the Tramway first-up recently. Beaten under a length in the Doncaster in April so he is up to this level. AUTUMN GLOW (4) is all the rage but this is a monumental test for her. Asked to carry 4.5kgs over the limit - Winx was 1kg over when she won as a four-year-old. Undoubtedly very good but from the outside gate she will need to be quite special. DEPTH OF CHARACTER (9) kept finding to finish third in the Bill Ritchie over 1400m last time. Good each-way hope with just 50kgs. Last chance for SWIFTFALCON (10) also with 50kgs and blinkers for the first time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Willydoit to win.
