Despite the small field Safe Bet, Kalmana and Oakley Miss will set a genuine tempo. Small field including several maidens but really think a few of these can measure up to nicer races. SASSY SOPHIE (5) broke through in a provincial maiden last start but suspect she might be able to go on with it now. Maps to get the box seat and will have her chance. OAKLEY MISS (2) was only a nose off Sassy Sophie last start. She has never run a bad race in her life and is another that can improve out to 1600m. KALMANA (1) brings the best winning form but has to lug the 60kg. He will go forward and give a sight but the last furlong will be telling. He must go in as a top-three chance though. GOLDEN GURU (4) is bred to relish the step to 1600m, while SAFE BET (3) can run a cheeky race with no weight after the claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sassy Sophie to win again.
