A full field of first starters over the sprint trip which should see a genuine tempo. Bjorn Baker has a couple of nice fillies in this headed by MASVINGO (7) who comfortably won her trial at the Kensington track on 22 September. Has the right juvenile pedigree, being by Zoustar from a Not A Single Doubt mare. Looks the goods. His other runner is BETTER OFF ALONE (1) who was close up behind Shiki in a slick trial at the Kenso. Has a wide gate but with luck should be right in the finish. Gai and Adrian's Too Darn Hot filly SHIKI (10) will be well found in betting after her impressive trial win. Obviously a big chance but may not represent great value - keep an eye on the market moves. Stablemate HOME INVASION (5) won her trial but the time was slow. By first season sire Home Affairs from a Foxwedge mare. Inside gate is a big tick. A third Waterhouse/Bott runner in THE WILDLING (11) was 0.8 lengths off Shiki when they trialled together. Draws a nice gate and should be in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Masvingo each-way.
