A Bar In Paris should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep her honest. Tricky and the betting will be instructive. COUPLES RETREAT (7) resumes and started her last campaign impressively when placing over 1100m at Hawkesbury. That stacks right up. Brings a solid trial and has a handy 2kg claim. Rates well and should take some beating if presented ready. MADRINA (2) switched from the Waterhouse-Bott yard and resumed here with a good effort from a wide barrier. She rates well clear of these at best and will present fitter. Has an inside barrier today and the 3kg claim brings her right into it. A BAR IN PARIS (10) resumes off an Open 2 win at Mudgee when she led. Will be naturally improved and the 2kg claim is handy. Has to be kept very safe. BLANC DE NOIR (8) is a local who was backed off the map winning a Moruya Maiden first-up. She's switched from a leading metro yard and has plenty up her sleeve. A player. GOGMAGOG (3) found more like his best when nudged out at Newcastle this grade and will be better for that. SUGGESTED PLAY: Couples Retreat if the betting suggests stable confidence.
