The big field should ensure a genuine tempo. METRO POWER (7) ran them off their feet here 20 days ago when leading and running away to score by 2.8L. He only rises 1kg with the ratings band of this race and he should be able to take up the running as he did last time out. Still has plenty of upside and can go on with the job. QUICK MONEY (13) comes through the Griffin events at the end of last season where he turned in some strong performances, jumping an odds on chance two back. He turned in a nice trial coming into this under Angus Chung and with his upside, it wouldn't surprise to see him go to another level first-up. FAST RESPONDER (6) chased home Metro Power first-up over this track and trip with the apprentice hoop on board, Now Orman takes the reins and the outside draw should see him in a good spot in the run. Won't be far away. WHIZZ KID (3) gets Purton in the saddle first-up and can play a leading role.
