A solid tempo on the cards. MISELLABEL (7) arrived just in time with a big finish to claim victory over 1400m at this track last time out when resuming from a spell. She is likely to go back again from a wide gate, but looks good enough to go right on with the job. AFTERGLO (10) was unplaced when resuming from a spell in a stronger field last start over 1300m at Ellerslie a fortnight ago. She was not far off the winner that day, and steps into a more suitable field this time. Don't risk her. ZENITH (3) comes off a last-start sixth in a good field over 1100m at Ellerslie 4 weeks ago. The extra 300m will suit him, and he is a genuine each-way contender. KING WILLIAM (2) and ELTON ROCKS (11) are both a chance in this field on a wet track. SUGGESTED PLAY: Afterglo each way.
