Genuine pace with Patch Of Watch finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. STRATHPEFFER (12) ended up further back than anticipated last time out at this track and trip but closed off fairly to be 2.8L off the winner. That form has since been franked and he drops 1kg off that effort. Expecting him to sit a little closer this time and with improvement to come, he can get the job done. AUDACIOUS PURSUIT (6) looks ready to fire on resumption following an impressive trial recently under Luke Ferraris. He showed some ability in his debut season and this looks a very suitable kick off point. Can land midfield and notch up his maiden victory. FUN TOGETHER (1) is another who has impressed at the trials in the seasonal break. He won at this track and trip two back but disappointed before the break when beaten 3L. Usually doesn't fire fresh, but if he can run up to his recent trial he'll be right in the finish. PATCH OF WATCH (14) was very good last start over 1200m and has claims up in distance today.
