Expecting Bel Hotesse to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. BUCKINGHAM PALACE (2) has placed in three of his five starts and looks ready to win. He found the line well at Mildura first-up and is open to improvement second-up. The draw is tricky and he will likely concede a start but he is good enough to win. Willing to forgive the last-start failure of MERCHANT OF GREECE (6), who is better than that. On the strength of his first-up run, he can feature here. RULED BY THIEVES (8) has been mixing his form this preparation but his best is good enough to run top three here. Murtagh goes on and he draws to get a nice run. LES BRAVES (5) can run a race first-up, especially from the good draw with the 3kg claim, while IROQUAI (11) is one that might be able to improve sharply off an inglorious debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Buckingham Palace to win.
