Genuine tempo with Tobias, Who Knows and Steal My Thunder up front. WHO KNOWS (3) has been freshened up since finishing fourth as favourite at Riccarton Park over 1800m 8 weeks ago. She has had a recent trial to keep her fitness levels up, and should go close to taking this out. COMEDY (8) scored a narrow win by nearly a length last time out at Trentham and drops 3.5kg from that effort. He will be even sharper third up from a spell, and he can repeat the dose. CROUCH (1) finished a sound seventh at Trentham over 1600m, at G3 level a fortnight ago, and will relish getting out to a more suitable middle-distance third up from a spell. He is likely to get back, but is definitely an each-way chance back in this company. BOOMTOWN BOY (7) may not win often, but he is very fit and is always a top 3 chance in these races. SOLIDIFY (10) has been thereabouts recently and will relish stepping up in trip here. Each way value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Crouch is capable of a top 3 finish this time.
