Solid tempo with Pimlico possessing enough dash to find the front. PIMLICO (9) won a Rosehill trial and then looked a run short beaten 2.7L at Canterbury. Has the blinkers applied for the first time and this is winnable with the extra fitness. BEECHWORTH (4) resumes for the Waller yard and placed his latest Randwick trial. He has the rail and his initial preparation was promising. Can threaten if presented on song. ENGLISH CONQUEROR (7) found one much to good on debut but covered the others on a heavy surface. Can improve on good ground and keeps the handy 2kg claim. TYPHOON ALI (10) didn't have much luck at Canterbury on debut. He will have come on and maps well. Quick improvement wouldn't surprise. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Pimlico.
