The pace looks strong from the outset. The well-related YOYO YEEZY (4) (half to G1 winner Uncommon James) returned in good order with a strong win over this track and trip and winning rider Thornton sticks in the irons. Looks the runner in this field with the most upside and can bring up the hat-trick here. SPIETHTACULAR (5) was a touch disappointing last time out but the two wins to start the campaign were good enough for a race like this. Gets 3kg off with the claim and looms as the main danger. ASTAPOR (1) resumes here but has a handy first-up record with a win and a second from three attempts. Can run a race while fresh. OOHLALOUVRE (7) has been right there in all four runs this preparation including a win over this course and distance three back. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Yoyo Yeezy to win again. |

Anticipating good pressure with many of these facing the starter for the first time. Tricky race to assess with a few of these facing the starter for the first time. MONAKEED (10) is one of them but has shown ability at the trials and won't need to be a superstar to be competitive against this lot. Sure to be well-educated out of the Hoysted barn and can run a big race on debut. CLIODHNA MAEVE (8) has had a few chances but has hit the top five in nine of her past ten outings and looks to be working up to a maiden victory. Include from the favourable draw. The well-bred MAGIC SNITZEL (13) (dam was a Listed winner and G2 placed) is another on debut but hails from an astute yard and Wilson-Taylor stays on top for race day. Keep safe. ZEAMAIZE (6) makes some appeal despite the sticky barrier. While RALOS STAR (3) could be one at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Monakeed if the money comes. |

Genuine tempo with the speedy Kuia Ma leading the way. KOHLER KID (6) is unlucky to still be a maiden hitting the top four in all three career outings to date and this is not an overly strong affair. Only needs some luck navigating from the wide draw to be playing a major role in the finish. ARTISTIC ENDEAVOUR (1) has gotten better with each run this time in and looks to be on the doorstep of a maiden victory. Should be hitting the line with gusto. CERTIFY (4) hit the frame at the Gold Coast on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. Can feature with natural improvement. ASTERN EFFORT (2) gets a jockey upgrade in the form of Thompson in the saddle and is one for the exotics players. SPOT THE AUSSIE (10) next in line from the inside alley out of the Vandyke yard. From the outside gate War King can push forward and take up the running in the absence of a genuine leader. Former NSW galloper DARK ARTS (1) has been right there in both runs since joining the Gollan yard and gets up to the more suitable mile journey now. Drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and will be ready to peak now third run back from the spell. Rates the testing material. The well-related WAR KING (5) (half to G2 winner Positive Peace) got the maiden victory out of the way last time out and will have taken some confidence from that breakthrough win. Can go right on with the job. HOT MAJESTY (2) will have taken benefit from that first-up effort and the step-up in trip suits. In the mix. SLIPSAIN (4) goes well for hoop Thompson who has a win and two placings from just four steers. Top three aspirations. Doesn't know how to put in a poor one and will run her usual honest race. AKKADIAN EMPEROR (3) is a stayer resuming but has won when fresh before and gets a bunch of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Should be attacking the line strongly. SANCTUARY STORM (12) has been right there in all four runs this preparation including a win over this mile journey three back. Include in calculations. RAZORS (8) is drawn to get a gun run in transit from the inside marble and may make his presence felt. SMILING ZAC (11) is a last-start winner who gets in on the minimum. In the mix.
