Little early speed on offer so Celestial Glow should be prominent. TAROONA (1) missed a whisker here and then came back and won this grade heavily bet. The promising filly can go on with the job. CELESTIAL GLOW (3) led and went close behind the above. Keep improving, and the weights move in her favour. BRIGHT NIGHT (4) can keep improving, but needs to find too much to threaten. OJOS DEL SALADO (2) is making up the numbers. SUGGESTED PLAY: Taroona appeals most. |

Motree Thoroughbreds Maiden 1400m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Dubai Affair leading the way. DUBAI AFFAIR (10) is busting to win and finds the right race. Led beaten a whisker here last time, and the 1400m will hold no fears in this line-up. MAJESTIC MOLLY (11) raced forward and missed a lip behind Miss Private over this distance. Fitter again and is a threat. BOHO STYLE (7) peaks, and went close at Hobart two back. Keeps a 3kg claim and draws to advantage. In the mix. CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (1) will give away a start, but is going well enough to go into the trifectas. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Dubai Affair. |

Tasbreeders Maiden/Class 1 1600m
Strong tempo with Smart Artie and Ice Crystal leading the way over Last Tremble. ICE CRYSTAL (8) is a leader who stepped up to this distance and belted the Maidens by 2.3L. Draws handy, and she can take the next step. SHY GUY (3) missed a nose this trip second-up and can improve again. The former Queenslander will be tough to beat. LAST TREMBLE (9) was plain off a wide gate last time, but his effort prior stacks up. Peaks, and can't be ruled out. SMART ARTIE (4) will enjoy a soft on-pace transit and can build on the deserved Maiden win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Ice Crystal. |

Magic Millions Class 4 Hcp 1600m
Expecting Agnete to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. Competitive. RIGOLETTO (5) comes back in grade off the 0.5L defeat over 1400m. Has an awkward gate but gets in well with the 3kg claim, and the step up to the mile shouldn't bother. ASHFALL (1) bounced straight back when winning a 68 over this trip, and then was expected to win over a middle distance in a 70 and was beaten a whisker. Comes back 500m but is well placed with the 3kg claim and he's good enough to cope. HURRICANE KETUT (4) has won his last three over this distance. This is harder, but he maps well and can't be ruled out. AGNETE (6) races forward and is also going well enough to consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Rigoletto each way. |

3YO Tasbred Grenville Stud 1200m
Expecting First Line to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. DANCING WOLF (2) led and surprised a tad, comfortably winning a CL3 here. Carries 3kg more today, but fitter can go on with the job. FIRST LINE (3) ran a good figure here last time, starting at big odds. She's been freshened and has claims. SMIFFY (4) finds harder, but is improving and can't be ruled out. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Dancing Wolf. |

Zuni and Sir Jag to take it up. PEROLA (6) missed a whisker in a 76, and then the big money came again, and she delivered in a CL5. That's good form and she can go back-to-back. ARUMA (4) was plain in an Open behind Turk Warrior but was good prior in the 76 contested by the above. Maps well, and no surprise if she makes the finish. STARDARMUS (1) is finding his fifth win elusive, but presents on a quick backup this evening, and is a chance again. BLOOMTIME (8) resumes and has trialled well. Usually needs a run, but the top hoop is booked and keep safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Perola. |

Swinging It, Capabelle and Myocardium can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. KUSINI (1) switched from Victoria's premier stable and just missed this grade first-up when expected to win. She maps well and can go one better on the 7-day return. CAPABELLE (7) placed one behind the above in that contest and was good in stronger, before that. She's dead-set honest and deserves another chance. LION'S TOOTH (2) carries just 53.5kg this grade with a 3kg claimer atop and won't be too far away. SWINGING IT (6) has also been finding it hard to win, but can get some minor cash in a tougher contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Kusini. |

Ozturk is the probable leader in the small field. OZTURK (5) has been nudged out twice since the easy Hobart Maiden win over a mile. She positions forward and has a 3kg claimer aboard this evening. Started in the red last time and can make amends. GOLDEN PROPHET (2) finished a whisker ahead of the above and then beat Ashfall home in a 70. Keeps the 3kg claim and will go close. MONTEZULU (4) is a better hope than the form line suggests. Pulled up with an issue last time and he'd be in the finish producing his best. ES AND ES (3) is going well and will be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Ozturk. |
