SCHWEPPES MAIDEN 1000m
Niccimota and Star Supreme possess good early speed and will battle for early honours. STAR SUPREME (7) went around favourite on debut and faded out of contention on the soft track. She's since trialled well at Belmont, running away to win impressively. Parnham sticks with her and she can make a winning return to racing. AMAROO STAR (2) was only fair in his debut campaign, though both runs were on soft tracks. He had trialled well leading into this debut and he has again today. The horse he beat in his latest effort jumped odds-on at Bunbury on Sunday. Can play a major role. PRINCE (3) is a 3yo on debut for Team Pearce and he maps for a lovely run from a good barrier. He hails from a winning family and he'll be right in the finish if he can run up to his trial efforts. NICCIMOTA (5) found one better over this course and distance last start. Connections are looking to ride her quieter which is a niggle from the wide draw. Hard to knock on form though. CONVERSATION POINT (8) can be in the finish following a nice trial coming in. SUGGESTED PLAY: Star Supreme gets the nod. |

TABTOUCH - HAVE YOU GOT THE TOUCH MAIDEN 1600m
Alnaud and Barra Mundy have the early speed and take leading roles. QUAGMIRE (3) was slowly away last start off a 56-day break and bumped into a smart one over the 1400m journey here. His run held plenty of merit though and stepping out to this trip looks ideal. Can take closer order this time and get the job done. BARRA MUNDY (1) disappointed last time out over 1800m, though he was racing in tougher company than this. His efforts in this grade prior were very good and he should be able to make his own luck up on the speed. Can get the job done. SHE'S PERFECTION (5) closed off strongly at Bunbury a fortnight ago when beaten 1.2L over the 1400m journey. She'll continue to get better as she rises in trip. Expected to be back in the run once more but can mow them down in the straight. GRINGO (4) has plenty of upside and showed good tenacity when sticking on a Pinjarra last time out. Should be near his top now and can make his presence felt. WOTUGOT (9) finally draws a barrier today and can improve on recent efforts. SUGGESTED PLAY: Quagmire goes on top. |

SWAN DRAUGHT MAIDEN 1200m
Many of these step out for the first time so a frantic pace is likely early on over this sharp journey. RETURN OF THE MACH (9) was impressive late in the trial most recently with Fiore in the saddle and that trial form may have been franked by now. The 1200m first-up looks ideal and while she may end up back in the run, she can storm over the top and make a winning start to her career. MASTERLY (2) bumped into some wet tracks in his debut campaign and his most recent trial showed what he's capable of. Steve Parnham rides now and he should be close to the speed from a good barrier. Can land the knockout blow. SISTER TALK (10) was most impressive at the trials recently in her only run for this campaign, running away to win by 1.6L. She can be on the speed from the barrier and she can put her best foot forward on debut. SO MANY STORIES (11) gets CJP in the saddle for her debut which is a positive sign. Can play a major role. MOMENT IN THE SUN (1) is better than he showed first-up and he can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Return Of The Mach makes plenty of appeal on debut. |

QUAYCLEAN MAIDEN 1200m
From the inside draw Dug Another Hole can boot up and control the tempo in a low-pressure contest. EIGHTY MILE BEACH (5) was impressive on debut when running on from midfield and missing out by only 1.5L. CJP remains in the saddle and he maps for a lovely run once again. Should be better for the debut effort and he can go one better this time around. HOYA DESTROYER (7) ran away to win his trial very impressively on January 20. Steve Parnham has been with him all the way through and remains in the saddle for his debut. Big chance if he can run up to his recent outing. DUG ANOTHER HOLE (1) drops back to 1200m today following a couple of good runs over further most recently. That sets him up nicely for this as he draws an inside barrier for Brad Parnham. Ticks plenty of boxes and can play a major role. HEY PINO (4) never got into the race on debut when fractious in the barriers. Can improve on that effort. CHAMPAGNE CATHAY (13) is building nicely through the campaign and she's not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Eighty Mile Beach can score a debut victory. |

RACING WA CAREERS IN RACING HANDICAP 1200m
Plenty of early pressure from Delicate Ruler, Diamond Light and Sanctions battling for the lead over Native Flower. NATIVE FLOWER (6) bumped into a smart one over 1100m here last time out, finishing 2.2L away. There's nothing like what she bumped into last time in this event and she looks to get a lovely run once more. Should get her chance and can go one better this time. SANCTIONS (4) led the field at Bunbury last start over 1200m and got the job done to shed the maiden tag. She has enough speed to press on from the draw, and she rates well off the last start effort. Can go on with the job. NATURAL GEM (7) disappointed last start following a good effort first-up at Ascot over 1000m. She draws a better gate this time around and she is a third-up winner in the past. Can bounce back to form. NEVER THE TWAIN (3) was only fair first-up and the claim of ZJP comes in handy. Drawn awkwardly, but has plenty of upside and can feature. DIAMOND LIGHT (8) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Native Flower. |

LIBERTIES INSURANCE HANDICAP 1600m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Outspoken Lad leading the way. JUSTAMIDDY (4) dropped off last start over the 1400m journey here following a strong effort two back. There's already been a winner out of his last start and he drops plenty of weight today. Looks ready for this trip now and he can put his best foot forward. M SPECIAL VIEW (2) never really got into the race first-up over 1400m at this track. He possesses enough speed to offset the barrier should they wish to roll forward. Can improve and won't be far away. OUTSPOKEN LAD (1) was back to form last start at Albany and has run some strong races recently. Looks well placed here from the barrier and the 3kg claim comes in handy. Can play a major role. HENRY HAS SPOKEN (8) was only fair last start at big odds in a stronger race following a win at this track and trip two back. She remains at the bottom of the weights and if she gets some luck in the running, she won't be far away. BAMBUN BOY (3) can improve on a solid first-up effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Justamiddy. |

WESTERN RACEPIX HANDICAP 1400m
Expecting Diamond Dancer to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. SUNSHINE TAFE (11) stepped up into Open 3YO company 19 days ago and wasn't disgraced, beaten 2.3L. She was good winning in similar company at Pinjarra two back and returning to this level looks ideal. Can bounce back to winning ways. SHOW THE WAY (5) just missed in a strong Open 2YO race last start and he's one that hasn't been in this level for a little while. He steps out in trip for just the second time, but this is an easier race. Looks well-placed and should put his best foot forward. DIAMOND DANCER (12) was strong last time out and looks ready to step up in trip again. She was good in Listed company at this track and trip and Parnham remains in the saddle. Can land the knockout blow. LIEUTENANT DUNBAR (4) is on the quick turnaround today and the booking of CJP is a big tick. Can bounce back to form. GOLDEN DORE (1) has been good his past couple and still has plenty of upside. Can feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sunshine Tafe can win the last. |
