TRIPLE M COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE 3YO & UP MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000m
Silent Drama to take charge ahead of Nucleaire at a strong tempo. HEAD KAHUNA (2) has registered four minor placings from all four runs this campaign and finds a weaker race today. Stalked the good tempo with a game third over 1000m at Scone. Gets a similar set-up here and is ready to win. ZUBBA STORM (1) is a three-year-old Toronado gelding now in the Mack Griffith barn. Made a little ground late when fourth at Sandown-Hillside on January 28. No recent trial form but looks well placed from the draw. NUCLEAIRE (11) came out fast on resumption with a tidy third over 1000m at Parkes. Clearly come back well and can overcome the awkward gate. MEDIA SPIN (3) resumes. Slow into stride on debut with a slashing third from last on the turn over 1000m at Orange last January. One of the key contenders. SUGGESTED PLAY: Head Kahuna should prove too good for these. |

KINGS HALL JEWELLERS SHOWCASE SILVER GOBLET - 2YO HANDICAP 1100m
Pace looks sure to be genuine with Rubelin and Miss Andreas matching motors, closely followed by Frog Rock. STAR OF LILY (2) Impressive winner at Moruya first-up, then thrown in the deep end with a fading ninth on a soft (6) surface over 1000m at Sandown-Hillside. Gets the gun run from the draw and can return to winning form in this easier contest. SWEET LEAF (4) big drifter in betting on debut when she sat on the speed to hold on for a solid victory over 1000m at Gunnedah. Will go forward again and has genuine top-three prospects. RUBELIN (1) showed blistering early speed from barrier sixteen when she led to the home turn before tiring to finish ninth over 1100m at Scone in C1 class. Can do much better here from the better draw. HONNIBALL DRIVE (6) was heavily supported late on debut with a fast-finishing second over 1000m at Gunnedah. Further improved for this and will appreciate the fast tempo. Leading player. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,4,1,6. |

HAHN 3.5 SHOWCASE SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1300m
Decent sized field but it lacks any obvious pace. LEOVANNI (12) closed strongly in a slowly run contest first-up with a tough fifth over 1300m at Scone. Finds an easier contest and has the ability to overcome the wide gate. Hard to hold out. TOKE (9) is deep into the preparation and has a fitness edge over the bulk of these. Strode forward from the wide gate and gripped on in the heavy (8) going with an even third over 1262m at Taree. Adept in all conditions and shapes as a top-three player. ITALUS (4) Wootton Bassett colt from the good producing mare Runaway Jesse on debut for the Angus Stewart yard. Has shown ability in all his trials and looks ready to run a big race with Braith Nock engaged. Respect. BONCAPO (2) resumes and is now in the Michael Mulholland yard. Placed first-up over 1400m last time in and ticks a few boxes today. Genuine contender with the lugging bit going on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 12,9,4,2. |

NUTURF COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100m
Champ De Mars to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. ZEALANDS PRINCESS (7) improving filly who rounded them up with ridiculous ease to get off the mark at start four in good style over 1000m at this track. Will keep improving as she gets out in trip and can race closer from the good gate. Can go right on with the job now. STARVERNA (5) bounced off the good debut win, with a fast-finishing second from the wide barrier over 1100m at Scone. Finds a weaker contest but drawn out again. Will be launching late. GOLDEN VADER (6) snagged back from the poor gate and closed strongly from back in the field with a plugging sixth over 1100m at Scone. Best figures measure up nicely and has solid winning claims from the inside marble. RUBY HARMONY (10) will strip fitter for this after resuming with a battling sixth over 1000m at Parkes. Gets in light again with the claim and stays in the calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zealands Princess can continue the winning momentum. |

DUBBO PLASTERBOARD & BUILDING SUPPLIES COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100m
Hot pace certain with Mary Le Bone, Chappolicious and Proper Twelve keen to take up the running. SPRING PROSPECT (4) consistent mare resuming. Had a throw at the stumps when a tiring eleventh behind Tom Vegas over 1400m at Mudgee in the CDRA Champs last February. Can stalk the good speed and put these away. CHAPPOLICIOUS (5) big improver third-up when she sat on the speed to run third over this trip at Bathurst. Tongue-tie goes on and has the speed to get across from the draw fourth-up. Each-way. ALBY'S MATE (2) faded late in the heavy (10) conditions with the 57.5kg when fifth over 1006m at Port Macquarie. Placed at this track and worth thought fifth-up. SOULS COMPANION (3) resumes without a trial and has a host of gear changes. Came to the end of his prep when he failed to run the 1600m out when finishing thirteenth at Scone last November. Maps well and can surprise fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Spring Prospect maps to get every chance. |

Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by Gail Jeanette and Iowna Benz. Strong contest. NOT WRITTEN OFF (5) anchored with the 58.5kg first-up when she sat on the pace to finish a fighting second over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Comes to hand quickly and winning rider goes back on for this. Hard to run down. SARATOGA POWER (1) big drop in grade last start with the 4kg claim to score a comfortable on-pace victory over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Winning apprentice retains the ride and hard to stop in this vein of form. IOWNA BENZ (2) is starting to put it all together this prep and strips fitter today. Was just under a month between runs when nailed late to run second over 1080m at Canberra Acton. Winning jockey hops back aboard and gets every chance from the good gate. CASTLEREAGH HOTEL WINTER COUNTRY CLASSIC QUALIFIER F&M BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1300m
Plenty of pace with Our Celebrity and Jenni Divine up front, pressured by Annanda and Jamacri. DEODEE (19) smart mare resuming from a lengthy break. Created a big impression when she got off the mark at start nine by a big space over 1300m at Ballina last October. Fitted with the one solid 1000m trial placing at Bathurst. Nose roll goes on from the good gate and can sprint well fresh from the low draw. TIYE (2) ready for this trip third-up and set to peak. Failed to keep up early and came from near last on the turn with a respectable fourth over 1100m at Scone. Strong finish expected again here and must be kept safe. MY KIND OF GIRL (14) trained locally and will relish the good early tempo fourth-up. Drawn out again and assess on her win three-back here. JAMACRI (8) gets a better set-up for this with the claim after disappointing with a battling fourth over 1200m at Cobar. Sit on the speed and has genuine each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 19,2,14,8. |

INLAND PETROLEUM WINTER COUNTRY CLASSIC QUALIFIER CG&E BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1300m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Jagerschnitzel crossing from the outside gate. Tricky race. WEST HEAD (2) gripped on well from the wide gate when he stretched out to the 1600m for a solid fifth at Parkes. Claim helps and expected to figure strongly. IKNOWYOU (6) jumps out to the 1300m for the first time after he went under narrowly with the 58kg to run second over 1000m at Quirindi. Maps well and no excuses with the senior rider aboard. DIVINE CONCLUSION (12) had mixed luck in his two runs back and desperate for this trip and further now. Up in grade and failed to sprint with them when fifth over 1200m at Bathurst. Fitter now and deserves another chance. MAGURTZ (9) lightly raced Tassort gelding heading in the right direction. Big jump in trip from a wide gate with a slashing second over 1400m at Gunnedah in a solid run race. Comes back in trip and no shock to see him finish over the top of these. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,6,12,9. |

HENDERSONS MENSWEAR SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1400m
Genuine pace with Mountain Top taking up the running ahead of Stockholm and Shaggy Rogers. Tough race to end the day. STOCKHOLM (8) deep into the prep and building towards another win. Took control early when he jumped out to the 1600m for a gritty second in the Parkes Cup. Saves his best for this track and trip and will prove tough to beat. ANTILOCAPRA (13) comes out of a very strong contest after she covered plenty of ground in the run to finish ninth over 1600m at Scone in Highway grade. Will sit on the speed and give a ton of cheek. NEW PHAROAH (3) is racing in career best form and he gets a similar set-up today. Shouldered the 58.5kg for a comfortable victory over 1520m at Inverell. Back slightly in trip and can win again. KRANICH (5) is holding his form in similar company and well placed with Stiff's claim. Returned good closing figures with an eye-catching fourth over 1400m at Scone in the Country Cup. Genuine contender. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stockholm can get the better of these with his good record here. |
