Ladbrokes Popular SRM 3YO Maiden Plate 1400m
Good early pressure with Pride Of Mandy or Hirarkee likely to take up the running. THINKYAHOT (3) should take beating. He's been nothing if not consistent, runner-up in 4/6 starts to date, going down a neck when heavily supported at Ballarat Synthetic last time out. If anything, switching back to turf should suit better and he won't get many better chances than this from an ideal gate. TAGAMATE (2) was okay at Geelong last time on very heavy ground. His form prior was rock solid for this including a third to the handy Miss Lola. That form should stand up. SHAMANSARA (10) is a filly by Shamus Award on debut for the Hayes yard. She got home well in a recent jumpout and has been backed early which is worth noting for these connections. STELLETTA (11) was well beaten fresh at short odds on synthetic but could turn things around quickly on turf. PRIDE OF MANDY (9) is racing well and gets every hope from the inside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Thinkyahot to win. |

Summerset Retirement Village Cranbourne North Maiden Plate 1000m
No surprise if the newcomers played a key role in the tempo of the race with little speed on paper. BOURDETO (4) ran a good race first up at Sale over this trip when getting into fourth on heavy ground. She should come on nicely from that and gets a good run close to the speed here. Looks nicely placed to open the account. KOKO (6) struggled on the heavy 9 at Sale last time but had been close up fresh and can bounce back. MAJESTIC SON (11) is a colt by Snitzel on debut for the Clayton Douglas yard. He's a nicely bred sort for strong connections who should be respected. COVERT ACTION (10) is a Home Affairs colt on debut for the Nicholds & Black yard who has had plenty of good jumpout experience and looks ready to go. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bourdeto on top. |

Settlers Run Maiden Plate 1300m
Solid tempo with Diamond Mila possessing enough dash to find the front. ALIEN ANGEL (9) looks the one to beat first up from a spell. She was well backed on debut in February at Sale, sent out a $2.10 favourite when working home into third. She should have improved off that and looks to have trialled very well in readiness. MARINE GRADE (4) resumes having shown some ability in four runs to date. The debut over 1200m at Pakenham was sound for this and he's had a few jumpouts to prepare off the long break. Watch the late betting. DIAMOND MILA (1) put in a career-best last time at Moe when beaten under a length. He should get a nice run here and has race fitness on his side. NIGHT GUARD (5) has been fair in two runs back but can improve again and take some holding out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Alien Angel to win. |

Frankston Sand Soil & Mini Mix Maiden Plate 1500m
Not seeing a great deal of early speed. FROM YESTERDAY (14) was firmly outclassed in Listed company last start at Flemington but pulled up with significant issues there having been given half a chance by the market. Have to forgive that, if he's got another good run this campaign he'll go close. WOLVES' DEN (10) ran a solid race first up here over 1400m when getting home late for fifth. He's expected to improve quickly off that and take holding out. ROYAL STORM (6) presents third up having been solid enough in two runs back, respecting from a good gate now at peak fitness. Giving a fluker's hope to HAYAI TSURU (11) first up for a new yard, her best could be good enough to sneak into the first four at massive odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: From Yesterday to win. |

Core Protective Group Handicap 1600m
Pace only fair with Up And Under rolling to the lead ahead of Helping Hands and Cash Converter. This race has been decimated by scratchings and it leaves KIWI JENNI (13) clearly on top. She came away for a strong maiden win second up, settling back at Seymour but proving too good late. Off a let-up here is the little niggle but she should take holding out again. DEADLY PRESS (1) was a tough winner at Seymour last time and there's been winning form out of that. He finds another winnable affair now and should get a decent run midfield. Doubt he has to do much more to win again. FYRELINE (5) was a narrow maiden winner fresh, unable to back it up last time but he's open to plenty of improvement. CASH CONVERTER (3) wasn't bad at big odds last time having won in easier prior, he can figure in the placings. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kiwi Jenni to win. |

Genuine pace with Struggle Street finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. Tough race. STRUGGLE STREET (5) resumes having been in great form last campaign. She started out in picnic company but kept improving, placing in her past two including in a BM66 in town. She's been jumping out nicely and might just get under the radar of a few here at double-figure odds. MISS COTOLETTA (8) was first up off a short break at Sale when seventh but was only beaten two lengths there in tougher company and can be better for it. She gets a nice run on speed here. NASRAAWY (1) is racing consistently and is suited to the 1000m around here. He'll take catching. ROOM FOR BINGO (4) ran a solid race first up here and should come on from that, her second up record reads well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Struggle Street each-way. |

Computer Talk - Business I.T Experts Handicap 1200m
A race that lacks early pressure on paper. GODTFRED KIRK (7) has just found one better in two runs this time in, back onto turf here should suit and he gets every hope having lugged a big weight last time. One of the main dangers has come out and he shouldn't have to do much more to go one better here. TOO TOUGH (9) lost the rider at the start last time at Sale but had won his maiden well fresh and was firmly in the market last time - have to give another chance with his lightly raced profile. ILLUMINANCE (11) was okay here fresh, her form last time in reads well albeit she doesn't do a whole lot of winning. STELLAR MOFEED (14) is consistent and racing well with each way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Godtfred Kirk on top. |

Solid pace likely with Decanted prominent along with Finance Shogun crossing from an outside gate. DECANTED (9) is going well without winning, again in the minor money last time at Bendigo. He'll land in a lovely spot and take catching in what looks to set up quite well for him over his pet trip. RUSSIAN DUCHESS (11) was just okay first up at Ballarat Synthetic but is expected to improve quickly onto turf with the added fitness, her form last time in was promising and she gets the handy claim for Jabez Johnstone. JEWEL BAY (2) is coming off a solid win over this track and trip and finds another similar race from a good draw, right in the mix again. BLUE BANDIT (4) tried hard last time at Sale on heavy ground when well supported and turns around quickly here with claims to go one better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 9,11,2,4. |
