Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Kia Ora Tatou. HOBELAR (2) returns from a spell and won first-up last time in work over 1100m at Ascot. Ran fourth in a trial at Belmont Park over 1000m recently. Is thrown in with the 4kg claim and makes plenty of appeal. KIA ORA TATOU (3) has switched yards since he was well beaten at Broome 53 days ago as favourite. He was good at Port Hedland prior and that form would see him right in the finish. BERRY BERRY GOOD (5) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 1.3L after being prominent at the bend over 1000m at Mt Magnet. Has a 3kg claim and is a chance to salute again. TWIGGER (6) returns from a spell. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep at Northam. Blinkers come off, and he's proven fresh. Draws low and the 2kg claim is handy. The betting will be key.
