STEELY MAN (3) settled back from a wide draw last time but charged home late to finish eighth, just over 2 lengths off the winner over 1300m at Ellerslie. He strips fitter and will carry 3kg less this time. Each way value, especially from a handy gate. SKYMAX (2) finished a game runner-up last start when resuming from a spell over 1300m at Te Rapa nearly 3 weeks ago. Her only win came second up, and with Craig Grylls riding so well, she could even go one better here. MOSCHINO (6) strips fitter second up and can figure in the top 3 here. PRINCIPLED (8) needed his first run back from a spell, and he is another who can take this out. Each way value. LITTERAL (10) was an overdue maiden winner last start, and she has the scope to go on with it. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Steely Man can win this.
