Small field without a bunny so it will turn into a sprint home. MAKWELL SMART (1) returned from a spell two weeks ago when he was prominent at the bend before folding up over 1000m at Belmont Park. Finds a suitable race and gets in well with the 3kg claim. Fitter now and can get the job done at this level. MAGNIFICENT MIA (5) is back from a break and has been racing in stronger. Raced below par at Northam at her only appearance last preparation. Is thrown in with the 4kg claim and expect her to pose a serious challenge. LENNOX LASS (6) missed the frame last start having her first run for the new stable. She's much better than that and at best she's nicely placed to feature in the finish. NIGHT GUARDIAN (2) was never in contention when resuming over 1000m at Bunbury. Lightly raced and can show more in this grade. The 2kg claim assists. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Makwell Smart.
