Expecting Irish Consort to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. WRITTY (2) resumes after six months and kicked off his last campaign with a win at Ipswich over 1100m. Now with Brett Mallyon and gets handy weight relief from the 4kg claim. Hard to beat if anywhere near ready. IRISH CONSORT (3) showed sharp speed at Echuca but faded late. Has the gate pace to be right on speed again and will take running down. TRIFECTA RUBY (6) also pressed forward at Leeton last start before tiring. Back on her home track and looks a strong chance to stick on longer. HELLS SON (1) resumes after a short break. Carries weight but has past ratings that measure up. Keep safe. YAMATO (8) is a minor hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Writty.
