Super Lad and Swycho possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. SACHEM (3) is third-up and looks ready to win. There has been merit in both of his run over a shorter trip and he's won over 1600m previously. From barrier four, he might not have to concede a big start. ENTRUSTING (1) makes the trip from Victoria and his form over 1600m looks solid for a race of this grade. He's drawn wide and will be running into the money. There was plenty to like about the last-start run of FINALE (9), who is another Victorian visitor that must be respected. A low draw and a good jockey help too. LOMAX (4) is a three-time winner at the track and distance, while SWYCHO (7) has been only fair this preparation but her best form would stack right up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sachem to win.
