Desert Edge is likely to roll to the lead and set a decent tempo. STYLE DIVA (6) was far too good at Northam last time out, winning by 1.1L, albeit in easier company. She gets into this right down in the weights though for Fiore and she maps to get every chance from the gate. Back onto her home deck now and she can bring up back-to-back wins. VILLEINS (1) drops right back in grade today after going around in the Boulder Cup last time out. He'd been around the mark in BM70+ events prior and the claim of ZJP comes in handy. Can sit a touch closer this time around and land the knockout blow. DESERT EDGE (4) is on the quick turnaround following a 1.8L defeat in the Toodyay Cup. Back up to this trip looks a good move after a good effort two back at Northam. Can make his presence felt. ARGYLE STAR (3) was too good at Northam last time out over 2200m at Northam and looks to land handy in the run. Can put his best foot forward. ABSOLUTE PLUM (2) has winning claims in what is an open event. SUGGESTED PLAY: Style Diva gets the nod in the opener.
