Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a genuine tempo. LONGREACH DROVER (9) debuted at big odds in a small field at Pakenham Synthetic, finishing fifth but not beaten far. Is sure to have come on from the experience and deserves a lot more respect this time. COOL AS YOU (8) debuts by Cool Aza Beel out of Mussenden. Has jumped out well in readiness and blinkers on at the start of his career is a signal of intent. MEGAFLASH (3) finds it tough to get off the mark and while he's mixing his form he did show improvement last time, running at Jerilderie. Backs up quickly and is in the mix. BRAJ (10) is by Peltzer and showed ability with a trial placing here in readiness. Drawn sticky but looks a live chance on debut. ETERNAL EMBER (11) impressed with a Kembla trial win. Gets in light with the claim and looms as a danger. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Longreach Drover.
