Just a moderate tempo given the absence of pacy gallopers. GIBRALTAR GOLD (4) drops back to 1400m today following a 1.4L defeat over the mile here 13 days ago. She clocked some strong splits late in the race that day when jumping a $1.85 favourite, Back in trip now is no issue as she bolted in here two back and can return to winning ways. KIRALUI (1) won two back before a 5.8L defeat at Belmont most recently. Back on top of the ground looks a positive for her, as does Pike hopping back in the saddle. Maps beautifully and can put his best foot forward. SATURDAY SESH (2) has been very impressive this time in work, winning again last start at Bunbury in a CL3. He's gone to another level this time in and the form out of his last start has been franked. Can continue to work through the grades. PLAYING QUEST (3) disappointed first-up but should improve sharply getting back on top of the ground. AMERICAN THIGHS (6) is not to be discounted back to this trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gibraltar Gold looks the one to beat.
