Despite the wide draw Meet George should cross and set a genuine tempo. Gollan-trained NOW IS THE HOUR (5) led and belted the Doomben Maidens by 3L first up and that speaks for itself. Brought two big Doomben trial wins and has plenty of scope for improvement. Maloney's booking is a lead and count on him to manage the awkward barrier. Stablemate ADRANOS (1) peaks and has placed as favourite at Doomben his last two. Darws inside and Thompson rides. Has the blinkers appled for the first time and they may provide the extra spark. POCKETMONEY (11) surprised winning well at Ipswich and then began awkwardly and did a good job beating 1.6L at Doomben. Peaks for this and the in-form Huxtable is a key jockey switch. She's a top-three prospect. LIVALITTLE (4) resumes for Gollan and raced well on wet tracks in her brief initial preparation. Will be naturally improved and is worth keeping onside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Now Is The Hour is promising.
