Strong tempo with Southern Scandal, Spirit Man and Luckee Floran going forward ahead of Cozzies Choice and Endless Joy. LUCKEE FLORAN (2) scored a hat-trick of wins to end last campaign at this track. He's never won first-up, though he has performed strongly when fresh and he should be able to be close to the speed from the barrier. Can pick up where he left off. BLACK SANDS (5) won two back before a 3.2L defeat when never getting into the race before a spell. He'll be asked to sprint fresh, but he's capable of doing so and if his rivals overdo it, he's sure to be strong late. COZZIES CHOICE (9) won narrowly at the end of last campaign and has trialled very well coming in to this event. The claim will see her right down in the weights and this trip first-up seems ideal. Can play a leading role. ENDLESS JOY (7) is likely to be better over further, though this seems a nice kick off point. SOUTHERN SCANDAL (3) can pick up from where he left off last time in work. SUGGESTED PLAY: Luckee Floran gets the nod.
