A race that lacks early pressure. INVINCIBLE IBIS (3) jumped the race favourite after showing good ability in his debut campaign, finishing 2L off the winner after settling in a good position. He's since trialled nicely under Purton who remains in the saddle as he rises to 1400m for the first time. That looks to suit and he can score his maiden victory. RAGING RAPIDS (6) closed off strongly when fresh over this track and trip when only 0.5L off the winner. He'll be better for that effort and he was a winner here just two starts ago. Can make his presence felt. VICTORY CHAMPION (5) impressed in his debut performance when flying home from the rear over 1200m. He hasn't shown much in his trials and jumped an $86 chance, but flew home and the rise to 1400m looks ideal. Can prove his debut performance wasn't a fluke. GALE SAGA (14) went under narrowly here fresh and can go one better today without surprising.
