Plenty of pace from the outset with Steel Trap and Bronte Beach leading the charge. Interesting race with a few needing to find their best. One of those is STEEL TRAP (12), a G3 winning two-year-old who was poor first up when well backed in the Listed Cap D'antibes at Flemington behind My Gladiola. Willing to give another chance up in trip and down sharply in the weights. SNEAKY SUNRISE (3) resumes. She's a good mare who boasts a third in a fast run G2 behind Treasurethe Moment at Flemington. 1400m is on the sharper side for her but she'll be hard to hold out. BRONTE BEACH (11) is a lightly raced mare who was poor first up here as a $2.90 chance having shown good ability when unbeaten in two runs prior. Look for sharp improvement. KIRRIBILLI (10) was another who struggled badly fresh but was a talented filly who could do much better. BON MISTRESS (2) resumes with the ability to figure at her best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Steel Trap to win.
