A solid tempo is on the cards with Northern Beast and Firefoot pushing for the lead ahead of One And Only and Packing Hurricane. ORIENTAL SMOKE (1) looks to have targeted this event as he drops back from C3 and returns to the scene of his latest victory. He carried 60kg to win there in C4 under Purton and this sets up similarly. Needs a touch of luck from the draw, but finds a brilliant opportunity to return to winning ways. FIREFOOT (11) gets the Blinkers on for the first time today following a fair run at Happy Valley as favourite last time out. Can sit handy from an inside barrier and he remains right down in the weights. Can improve now and looks the main danger. DOUBLE WIN (13) resumes today and has switch to the Manfred Man stable in the break. His latest trial was very good and he's turned in some strong figures in similar races last campaign. Watch for him late in the race. BEAUTY VIVA (4) was solid first-up over the mile and should be better suited over this trip now. Can be in the finish.
