Strong tempo assured from Forecaster and Sarrismo leading the charge. Lightly raced four-year-old SARRISMO (7) returned from a long break with an emphatic all-the-way win over 1300m at Hawkesbury last start. Set a solid tempo that day and just kept going. Probably controls things again and will be terribly hard to run down. MAWJOOD (1) raced last in a small field then picked up nicely under 61kgs to be beaten less than a length when fresh from a spell over 1250m at Canterbury last time out. Highly competitive through last prep at midweek level and should continue that theme in this suitable contest. CLOISTERS (9) had his first run under Waller and was successful in a BM64 at Newcastle recently. That followed an 11-week break so he is open to plenty of improvement. PONY SOPRANO (6) looked home but was cut down late in a Highway here at this trip last start. Very fit now and looks nicely treated after Roper's claim. FORECASTER (3) is going okay but the wins are hard to come by. One for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sarrismo on top in a good little race.
