Moderate pace from Menazzi taking it up with Kind Wish and Ocean Zar on his back. MENAZZI (1) is a leader who missed a whisker this trip and Doomben and then led over longer at the Gold Coast after jumping awkwardly. Drops in grade and distance and with the benefit of the 3kg claim rates to take beating. DON PEDRO (2) is a threat building on his 1L defeat this grade at the Sunshine Coast. Ran his best number over this distance at Randwick-Kensington for the Baker yard and he's still well shy of that figure. OCEAN ZAR (4) hasn't won for a long while but has gone close on numerous occasions. She brings two threatening efforts from Doomben and they stack right up. Moor stays aboard. KIND WISH (7) disappointed at the Sunshine Coast but her form prior reads well enough.Tumbles in weight and that brings her into it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Menazzi.
