Not a great deal of speed on paper so it may be left to one of the debutants to roll to the front. SULEK (7) worked home nicely on debut at Mornington over 1200m to grab third and gave every indication this trip would suit. The draw isn't ideal but if they're positive and look to slot in he'll take beating. CAVALRY SCOUT (4) is a colt by Blue Point on debut for the Maher yard. He's won a jump out leading in and is expected to run a nice race with Ethan Brown booked to ride. JAGUAR PAW (5) was good to the line on debut at Bendigo and is bred to get over ground so the rise in trip will suit. This looks a winnable metro race. PARAMOUNT PLUS (1) was solid fresh at Sale with improvement to come and he won't need much of it to be figuring. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Sulek.
