Strong pace from Act Natural, San Pueblo and Path To Profit, with Final Moment and Smoke Screen on their heels. The key to this race is the debutant PROFICIENT (6), a filly by Lonhro who kicks off for the Hayes yard in the Godolphin blue. She was dominant in her latest jump out at Pakenham when leading by a big space and clearly looks to have a high level of ability. ACT NATURAL (1) will knock a maiden off soon having finished runner up in five of six starts to date, including both this time in. He'll have a fitness advantage and maps for every chance from the inside gate. FINAL MOMENT (4) resumes. Two runs in her initial campaign were solid, only beaten by a handy one on debut at Cranbourne before tackling a 2yo race at Caulfield. Expecting she measures up well here. PATH TO PROFIT (5) was heavily supported on debut at Bairnsdale and ran well, just outgunned late over 1000m. Better for that and should give a sight again. SAN PUEBLO (2) was solid fresh and could sneak into the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Proficient to win.
