Good pace with Condone, Shangri La Boy and Saint Aldwyn matching motors. Plenty of good form lines converge in this above-average maiden. CONDONE (3) for Gai and Adrian looks the pick after an impressive debut over 1200m at Canterbury three weeks ago. Raced on the speed that day and looked a chance but lacked the zip of the winner. Bred to want more ground so this looks a perfect progression. PROVIDENCE (8) has tackled a couple of Group 3 races since resuming and was not up to the task on either occasion. Finished just 2.4 lengths back in the Group 1 Atkins third-up last prep - he can win if he finds that form. NORDIC VIKING (6) warmed to the task late and grabbed third when resuming in the same race as Condone at Canterbury. Will enjoy getting to this trip on a bigger track. SHANGRI LA BOY (10) didn't do a bad job on debut at Canterbury last start when well backed. Likely improver. SARAPO (9) gets a pass mark for his return at Canterbury last start. Better placed today over a bit more ground. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Condone.
