Expecting a solid pace with Giannis, Sailor Girl and Hard Attack leading the charge. BEST ROSE (9) is a progressive filly that put the writing on the wall for her next win when finishing runner-up by less than a length at Ashburton a month ago. She draws the pole position, and if the fence is the place to be by this time of the day, then she can go one better. LEINSTER (10) is at his best when saved up for the 1 short sprint. He can secure a cosy run from a reasonable draw here, and if the gaps come, then he can have the last say. CAPE HORN (2) showed promise on the poly surface here last winter and is probably getting ready for that season again. He will be stronger now, and has yet to race on the turf, so he should not be underestimated fresh. Check the market. NOVELETTE (12) is a stablemate of the top pick, and her form has been rock-solid all year. A wide gate may be an advantage on a heavy track, so stick with her if that is the case. MOON GODDESS (11) has seen her form dip in her last couple of starts, but they were in tougher fields. Don't drop her in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leinster each way.
