A few sit handy but there won't be a great deal of early pressure.
SNITZEL DANCER (15) has progressed at a remarkable rate this prep, going from a seventh in a midweek Benchmark to become the winner of the Group 3 Carr Stakes over the highly regarded Plaintiff. Powered through the line at the end of 1400m that day so the mile looks ideal. Handles soft tracks and is certainly up to winning this. BRAVE MONARCH (2) is a huge threat and clearly the pick of the boys. Settled midfield then showed explosive acceleration to win the Daybreak Lover over 1400m here last time. No mile or wet form but he should cope. BINGI (7) finished less than two lengths behind Observer in the Australian Guineas over this trip at Flemington three back. Didn't stay in the Derby last start but he can bounce back in this more suitable race. SPANISH TREASURE (4) was left in Brave Monarch's wake last time out but can improve with the addition of winkers today. CALL DA VINCI (3) has found the line well at both runs this prep and will relish getting to the mile. SUGGESTED PLAY: Snitzel Dancer to win, and take the 2-15 quinella.
