Decent sized field but it lacks any obvious pace. THEBARBEROFSEVILLE (6) drew out and didn't come into contention over 1600m at Gatton. He was disappointing regardless, but he'd threatened twice over the same distance at Doomben and Eagle Farm prior at 70 leve,l and those more than stack up. Has a handy 2kg claim and looks well placed. LUDIK (4) won at Ipswich and then settled even further back there following when beaten 1.8L as a $3 favourite. Gives every indication the step up to 1625 will suit and he's a chance to bounce. WHATJEUDOIN' (7) has to manage the switch from middle distances, but he's been racing is tougher class at Eagle Farm since his easy Ipswich win. Draws low and freshened can't be ruled out. KNOWITALL FRANK (9) is racing well and has upside. Has a small claim and the extra 200m won't be an issue. In the mix. ADVANCE TO JAFFA (2) is a former Victorian who will be better second-up.
