THE INDEPENDENT ON SATURDAY INSIDER EAST COAST CUP 2000m Track: STANDARD Clear (Max: 25) |

|
Solid tempo expected primarily from Rahhabba and Duchess Of Paloma. GERBERA (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just one length from the winner in second over 1700m at Vaal. Close to another win and gets chance over the extra ground. BAKWENA (6) finished 4 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1800m at Vaal five-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in distance today. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Expecting a bold showing. PLUM PUDDING (7) is third up today. Turned in a better run last time when second, beaten a neck, at Scottsville over 2400m. Can go on to take this out. RAHHABBA (8) has won three of last five and placed the other two including placing only try here. Has pace and can give a sight.
