WILD THOUGHTS (3) has raced five times this prep, all in the 1400-1500m range, and has been competitive without threatening to win. Finally gets to a trip that will suit and this isn't as strong as some of the races he has contested. Time to get on. MIDORI GIANT (2) bolted in first-up over the mile at Hawkesbury then settled back and made significant late ground to get up for second over 1850m here nine days ago. Carrying the big weights well and at the third run back he should be peaking. JACK DUGGAN (1) has not won for 450 days but his racing has been at metro level. Three-time winner over today's journey who will appreciate this substantial drop in class. IRON LEGEND (4) made a long, sustained run to get up and win his maiden recently over this distance at Canterbury. Lightly raced three-year-old with a lot more to offer. RITA'S PEARL (8) is back in distance but looks a trifecta and first four chance with just 55kgs. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wild Thoughts to win.
