A genuine pace is expected with Prince Pinot, Flashlight and Jareth rolling along early. Competitive race and the double figures in early betting for STEEL RUN (2) looks a decent gamble. He's off a freshen for this having run quite well in the Roy Higgins last start behind Whisky On The Hill. Back to benchmark grade now, he's got the peaks to win this even rising in weight as he does. JARETH (4) has been going well, close up in two runs since a narrow win over a mile. He gives the impression 2200m will pose no issue and he maps for a sweet run. HOUDINI (6) is ultra consistent, given a good ride at Sandown Lakeside last time to win by a long neck. Tricky draw but they can push forward and take beating again. MERCHANT FLYER (8) is another rock solid galloper who was beaten under a length by an in form horse last time. Tough draw but he'll be steaming home. SO SUAVE (12) was just behind Houdini last time and has claims again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Steel Run each-way.
