Russian Pins is expected to lead at a strong tempo. CHARLOTTE'S HERE (7) made good improvement placing this track/trip three back and improved again at Gatton following. Went down by a nose last time and is ready to post his second win. Stablemate COUNT NICHOLAS (1) is also knocking on the door. Has been racing in much stronger and has a handy 2kg claim. Draws low and he's also a live chance. RUSSIAN PINS (5) has needed his two runs this preparation and is also back in grade. Has an inside gate today, which he can use, and he's won twice this track/distance. A much better effort is likely. YES TO EXCESS (3) was outgraded at Doomben first-up and has been freshened and trialled since. Need a good ride but has pieces of form that would give him a hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Charlotte's Here over the stablemate.
