Strong tempo with Lim's Bighorn, Rosa Aotearoa and Prevailed leading the way. Wide open race and the market reflects that. The slight leaning is to ALERO (6) who is racing well and has good early speed. He won easily three back at Pakenham and has been right there in two efforts since, narrowly beaten at Caulfield last time. He'll roll forward and give a good sight. Wary of ROSA AOTEAROA (13) who has good upside. He was heavily backed first up to win easily at Sale over 1206m. Beat little there and the time could've been stronger but he did it easily and is building a good record. GOLDEN SPRITZ (17) ran a good race first up at Cranbourne despite just going under at $1.90. He's lightly raced and should come on from that. NEARING LIBERTY (7) resumes. His best form is over a touch further than this but he's won a couple of times when fresh in the past and has the ability. PREVAILED (11) presents third up and gave a good sight last time behind a smart one, go close. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Alero & Rosa Aotearoa.
