Genuine pace with Born To Be Alive taking up the running ahead of Dupont and Montgomery. MAURITA (10) finished out of the money two starts back then she got a long way back when sixth over 1650m at Beaudesert a week ago. Finds a nice race and can take this out. CLASSIC SHIRAZ (6) recorded a strong maiden win over 2042m at Murwillumbah last time, getting there by 8 lengths. Winning rider Yvette Lewis sticks and she cannot be discounted. RIGHTEOUS BROTHER (7) got off the mark over 1567m at Murwillumbah last start, scoring by a nose. Kirk Matheson was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated. SIR ZINO (11) was beaten 12 lengths into fifth in a 2042m contest at Murwillumbah last time out. Well placed to make amends. MONTGOMERY (1) ran a better race last start and will appreciate the firmer surface. Winkers come off. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 10,6,7,11.
