Many of these two-year-olds step out for the first time so a strong pace is anticipated. Siding with one of the newcomers, MARFFIANO (6) who is a colt by Home Affairs out of a speedy mare Miss Iano for the Hayes yard. He looked very smart winning a recent jumpout and the stable are very good with their juveniles. He can take it right up to THE SPEED MACHINE (2) who has done nothing wrong in two wins to date, too fast at Mornington again last time. The time was just fair and now to 1100m but he'll give you a huge sight again. LOCARD (11) is a well bred filly by Blue Point out of Golden Slipper winner Forensics. She's done enough at the jumpouts to suggest she'll run a strong race. RESONANT (7) is a colt by Spirit Of Boom for the Hayes yard who looks sharp and ready to go, respecting. SHAMAKITA (8) is a Shamus Award gelding for the Stokes yard who has won a jumpout showing speed and can figure. SUGGESTED PLAY: Marffiano to win.
