Zarastro, Private Harry and Uncommon James to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. An outstanding field assembles. UNCOMMON JAMES (2) returned from a 13-month spell in the Ascot over 1000m here a fortnight ago and looked the winner but peaked on the line and just missed. In the money at five of seven tries at Group 1 level, including an Oakleigh Plate triumph. Handles the going and with a bit more fitness is ready to win. SPLASH BACK (13) caught the eye in the dying stages of the Sapphire Stakes at Randwick three weeks ago, her first run for 23 weeks. Very smart mare who will be putting in the big strides late. HIDDEN WEALTH (5) scorched home to be beaten just a length first-up in the Ascot, finishing 0.6 lengths off Uncommon James. A real swimmer who can play a huge role in the outcome. ABOUNDING (12) has been okay in her two runs this prep from bad gates. Can improve sharply with even luck in running. RESERVE BANK (3) has not raced since winning the Goodwood this time last year. Has trialled three times since late February so he looks forward enough. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hard to know where to look but Uncommon James is great value at double-figure odds.
