Expecting Hezangelic to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. HEZANGELIC (2) returned to winning ways last time out with a strong all-the-way victory over 1100m. Only rises 0.5kg for the 1.1L victory and this looks to set up similarly. Rise in trip is no real issue and he can bring up back-to-back wins. BARTIME (1) gets the blinkers on for the first time today following a 4.1L defeat over 1200m fresh. This looks to suit much better from an inside barrier and he's a second-up winner in the past. Can go one better today without surprising. ACORN (4) was no match for Hezangelic last time out when feeling the pinch late second-up. Fitter again now however and he still profiles as a progressive type on the rise. Wouldn't surprise to see him return to winning ways with the slight rise in distance. GO GO GROMMET (3) split Hezangelic and Acorn first-up as a $6.50 chance and boasts a strong second-up record. Can be in the finish again. STAR SUPREME (7) is third-up now and can play a leading role from the inside draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hezangelic can repeat the dose.
