The race lacks early speed so doubt they will go too hard. SUPER PHOTON (7) has not had much go his way since winning at Tauranga in January, and he will be suited by the smaller field this time. He drops 2kg in weight, and more importantly, he returns to racing in an anti-clockwise direction, making him the one to beat for us. TRISTAR (8) has been racing very consistently at this level, and this is her pet trip. She gets her best draw in a while, and another honest effort can be expected. MOSCHINO (6) caught the eye with a nice late finish at Ellerslie 4 weeks ago when finishing fourth. Dropping back to 1200m is a query for us, but in this field, she can run into the top 3. VEGAS QUEEN (5) resumes from a short spell that would have done her no harm. She doesn't want it too wet, and can't be taken lightly. Include. JOSHUA BROWN (3) ended his last campaign with a fifth in the Matamata Cup. He usually takes a run, but his record here can't be ignored, and he is worth including in all combinations. Watch for him late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Super Photon can win.
