Genuine tempo from Cesar Bessan leading Thoughtful. BAMA SLAMA (5) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time over 1200m at Cranbourne in this class after he gave away a big start. The wide draw presents some potential issues, but he's perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. FREAK OF NATURE (2) is a horse who has run some big races in stronger grade than this and while he can be hit or miss at the start, if he hits it he could take some running down. SOMEBODY TOLD ME (3) disappointed last time when sixth over 1512m at Geelong after a close third at Pakenham the run prior. Coming back in trip suits so should be involved in the finish. CHOSEN VENTURE (8) lines up on the back of a 2.5 lengths fourth over 1300m at Swan Hill, which followed a win and a second, so he only need to hold his form. OLIVIA'S SCANDAL (6) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 1.3 lengths, over 1200m at Swan Hill, her fourth placing in a row so she's knocking on the door. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bama Slama each way.
