From the outside draw Snallygaster spears to the lead and sets a slick tempo. HIGH ON THE HILL (7) was a dominant maiden winner fresh at Kilmore then stuck on gamely in town to grab a minor placing. Comes in freshened with two jumpouts and looks the one to beat. HOT STATEMENT (1) returns and was a strong winner here when resuming last campaign then backed it up with a barnstorming second up win. Now resumes off a shorter break with two solid trials and a 3kg claim to offset the weight. Set for a bold return. SNALLYGASTER (8) showed good tactical speed when resuming at Oakbank on Cup Day and kept finding to hold them off. Kept fresh and will prove tough to reel in. RICHE D’AMOUR (4) is unbeaten in two fresh runs and will be hoping they roll early so he can unleash his turn of foot. ALAA PLENTY (2) is going better than the form suggests and has a strong record at the trip so is worth including at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: High On The Hill to win. Saving on Hot Statement.
