Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. ALPHARD (1) last raced when a tiring fifth over 1400m at Warwick Farm on 18 February. Trialled well for Waller since being gelded recently. Should be in for a more lucrative campaign. SPIV (5) returns for a second prep after showing ability this time last year, albeit on heavy tracks. Trialled strongly at Warwick Farm twice during April. A big return looks on the cards. INCREMENTAL (3) was in commission on debut over a similar trip to this at Muswellbrook but gave away too much start and missed the placings. Will take a lot from that experience and from the inside alley is bound to give a good sight. MOSSROCKET (7) is a Capitalist debutant from the Peter Snowden stable. Has improved at the trials since being gelded. Big market watch. REFRESHMENT (4) is a four-year-old who finally makes it to the races. Trialled well at Warwick Farm recently and should acquit himself well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Alphard on top but some first starters make it interesting.
