Tukituki has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. ATAVUS (1) continues to race in strong form this prep, backing up a win at Otaki with a close second over 2100m at Ellerslie where he was beaten by just over a length. He cops another wide gate, but by this time of the day it might be a blessing in disguise. On top. BOLD BRO (5) was competitive again when third over 2100m at Hawera after winning his maiden at Woodville prior. He has a superior gate here, and he is a top 4 player again. UNUSUAL CORTEZ (4) was a tough winner on debut over 1600m, and then was looking for more ground at Otaki last time out. The extra 460m is the key here, and he has each-way claims. OCEAN MELODY (10) has followed up her deserved maiden here in April with a further 2 good runs. She is rock-hard fit, and is well worth including in all combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: Unusual Cortez each way value.
