Volkano, Cork Harbour and Kikorangi to take up the running at a decent tempo. MURPH (2) possesses big closing splits on his day but has just been finding himself in awkward spots. At his top now and if they can land a better spot this time he will prove mighty tough to hold out. VOLKANO (14) only just missed first-up at Mildura when stalking a good pace. Fitter now and should be able to offset the tricky gate. Can take the step up this level and give them something to catch. RICHE D'AMOUR (5) rocketed home fresh from an impossible position then warmed nicely again last time but it was all too late with the winner off and gone. Drawn much kinder this time, so if he's closer he can play a major role. CORK HARBOUR (1) is a consistent gelding who is sure to be giving himself every chance up on the speed. NARALINGA (3) made a mess of them at Mt Gambier when favourite and deserves following up despite the class rise. SUGGESTED PLAY: Volkano each-way.
