Genuine tempo with the speedy Corpulent leading the way.
JADE SUNSET (12) registered a fourth career placing when she led for home but found a couple better late in the piece over 2200m at this track last start. Drops back from a Class1 to a maiden and this trip will be more to her liking. Looks the goods in a plain affair. ALNAIR (11) has been competitive at all three runs this time in work. Boxed on evenly without threatening last time out over 1450m at the Illawarra Grange circuit. Big step up in distance but trust the stable has pulled the right rein. PHAROAH QUEEN (9) returned from a 44-day lay-off with a modest effort over 2200m here recently. Back in trip with blinkers on for the first time looks a nice set-up for the second run back. TRAGEDIES (10) ran on stoutly past most of the field but was still a long way off the winner last start in a real slog over 2000m at Kembla. Very fit and should be thereabouts again. UNMATCHED (6) has only raced three times and is on trial at this distance. One for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Jade Sunset.
