American Russ and Shooting For Stars should set a strong clip. XTRAMAGIC (8) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just three times from 31 starts, and again tasted defeat last start when ninth over 1200m at Ballarat, beaten 6 lengths. That was in BM62 grade, though, as was the second placing the start prior, so he'll relish dropping back to 0-56 company. POINT OF ECSTASY (4) wound up strongly last time out to finish 0.9 lengths adrift in third over 1109m at Echuca when coming back from a break. Does have a wide draw but will be fitter now and can turn the tables on DENSETSU (3) who has to be considered once again from a good draw given how well he's racing. SYMPHONITE (7) hasn't been beaten far in any of her past four starts, a number of which seemed to be stronger races than this. PRANCING QUEEN (5) should be at peak fitness now after three runs back, draws the inside and has won here previously. SUGGESTED PLAY: Xtramagic each-way.
