Expecting plenty of speed from I Am Carrot, Vintage Vibes and Skyhook from Congressman. The 1400m Fred Best is the key form guide. WITHIN THE LAW (10) resumed in that Group 3 over 1400m here a fortnight ago and was most impressive, coming from near last in the field of 18 to be beaten under two lengths. Group 1 placegetter over this trip. Can race a bit closer today from a better gate and looks the one to beat. SKYHOOK (2) raced on the speed and had his chance in the Fred Best but couldn't hold off Regal Award. Has a wide gate and is on trial at the mile but he is too classy to leave out. TUPAKARA (11) flew home for second in the Queensland Guineas over this trip six weeks ago. Concerned about the gap between runs but she is a talented if not frustrating filly. BURMA STAR (4) is looking a bit one-paced and probably needs 1600m now. One for the exotics at big odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be on Within The Law.
